From everyday essentials to ready-to-eat meals, Seafood City brings the Filipino food experience together under one roof.

Seafood City Supermarket is a chinese supermarket in Chicago, Illinois. It is listed at 5033 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL 60630, which places it among the local businesses of Chicago that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under asian grocery store, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Chicago with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Illinois may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (773) 295-1658. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is seafoodcity.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 4,014 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese supermarket in Chicago and suggests consistent service.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Seafood City Supermarket is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving authentic Filipino food in Chicago. Their food court has so many delicious options, and it's always worth the visit. The Filipino bestsellers are a must-try—crispy lechon kawali, savory pork sisig, flavorful kare-kare, juicy barbecue, and classic chicken adobo are all packed with authentic flavors that remind me of home. If you have a sweet tooth, don't forget to grab some halo-halo for dessert! My personal favorite is the crispy chicken skin. It's perfectly golden, crunchy, well-seasoned, and incredibly addictive. The store itself is well-stocked with Filipino stores such as Jollibee, Red Ribbon, etc. and Asian groceries, fresh seafood, and meats, making it a one-stop shop for anyone looking for authentic ingredients. Friendly staff and a lively atmosphere make the experience even better.

Seafood City is my go-to place for everything I need to make Filipino food at home! They have a great selection of fresh seafood, meats, produce, frozen items, and all the Filipino ingredients that can be hard to find elsewhere. Whether I’m making adobo, sinigang, pancit, or lumpia, I can always find what I need here. Oh, and you can eat there too!!! The store is well-stocked, the prices are reasonable, and it truly feels like a taste of home. If you’re looking for authentic Filipino groceries and ingredients, Seafood City is the best place to shop. Highly recommended! 🇵🇭🍽️

“Seafood City Supermarket is a good place to find Filipino products and ingredients that are harder to get at regular grocery stores. The store is pretty clean and organized overall, and they carry mostly Philippine products, which makes it a nice place for the Filipino community. One thing I would say is you really need to know your prices before shopping here. Some items are priced much higher than what you can find elsewhere, sometimes almost double the regular price. There are a few good deals, but most savings are only a few cents compared to other stores. You also have to be careful with some of the other international products because they are definitely not the cheapest. It’s a convenient place for specialty groceries, but price comparison is important before buying a lot of items here. Overall, still a nice and clean store if you’re specifically looking for Filipino foods and products.

Seafood City is always worth the stop. Great place to find Filipino favorites, fresh seafood, and ready-to-eat meals that make you feel right at home. The food selection was solid, the hot bar looked fresh, and the staff kept everything moving. Definitely a must-visit spot when you’re in the area, especially if you’re craving a taste of the Philippines. Five stars from me.

Good and affordable choice of snacks and drinks but VERY unhygienic for Asians. This place dosent even sell fresh seafood it’s all frozen previously. They don’t even have it properly on ice , buckets of nasty red liquid under seafood tables and smells so nauseating in the entire store! Halo halo was ok but strange taste and food court is way overpriced and disappointing . This is why they get only 2 stars . And thats me being generous. This is NOT up to standard for an Asian store GO TO HMART instead .
